Rob’s first film was “Living Will…” with Jackass’s Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn which was distributed by Lion’s Gate in which he was the associate producer and music supervisor. The same year he won the Pocono Film Festival for “Best Documentary” for his “WHO?MAG Hip Hop Document” which he directed, produced, and edited. From there, he has worked on many featured films and TV shows. He has worked on major TV shows like “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC), “The Goldbergs” (ABC), “The Four” (Fox), “Dancin’ On Air” & “Saturday Morning Fever” (FUSE TV), and many others. He recently worked on “The Retaliators” which premiered and sold out the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
He has worked movies with actors such as Marc Menchaca (“Ozark”), Joe Gatt (“Game of Thrones”), Christian Coulson (“Harry Potter”), Stacey Dash (“Clueless”), David Koechner (“Anchorman”/”The Office”), Kristin Minter (“ER”), Robert Clohessy (“The Avengers”), Robert Burke (“Law & Order SVU”), Bam Margera (“Jackass”), Tara Reid (“American Pie”), Joseph Gannascoli (“The Sopranos”), and many others.
Rob has also worked on many music videos. In 2019, he produced the Papa Roach & The Hu video “Wolf Totem” which has over 30,000,000 Youtube views. That year he also directed and produced the legendary R&B group Force MD’s “Fly With You” video which was considered for a Grammy for “Best Music Video” as well as nominated by SoulTracks for “Song of the Year”. Rob also wrote and co-produced the song with his long-time music partner Eric Cui. Rob has also directed, produced, and edited many music videos under major labels and distribution.
For commercials, Rob won an “Award of Excellence” for Best TV Commercial for Castle Windows, one of the largest home improvement companies all up and down the East Coast. He also shot a commercial for American Idol winner Jordin Sparks (Season 6) for her non-profit. He also edited a commercial for Boy Abunda, who is known as the “Filipino Oprah Winfrey”. In 2019, Rob directed a fireside chat and commercial between Billionaire John Catsimatidis and the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
